Why login alone is not enough
A basic identity login could only tell Soundiiz who you are. Soundiiz also needs to read the music you choose to work with and, when you ask it to, create or update items in Spotify. That is why Spotify displays permissions for playlists, liked music, followed artists, and library actions during authorization.
Permission does not mean Soundiiz acts on its own
Soundiiz uses the access for transfers and Syncs, plus the management actions you request. Soundiiz does not sell your user data. Your authorized data is used to provide the Soundiiz features you choose.
How to remove access
You can revoke Soundiiz from the Apps section of your Spotify account. Spotify then stops issuing access to that connection, so Spotify features in Soundiiz will stop until you reconnect.
If Spotify is also your Soundiiz sign-in method
Before revoking access or closing the Spotify account, make sure you have another way to enter the same Soundiiz account. The account recovery guide explains how to identify the right sign-in method.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Soundiiz delete or change a Spotify playlist?
Only when you start an action that requires it, such as deleting a playlist, replacing its contents, or running a Sync configured to update that destination. Read the confirmation shown before a destructive action.
Can I grant read-only Spotify access?
Spotify authorization is requested as a group of permissions needed by Soundiiz features. A read-only connection would prevent transfers to Spotify, favorites management, and playlist updates.
Why is Soundiiz asking me to connect Spotify again?
Spotify access can expire or be revoked. The Spotify reconnection guide explains when a new authorization is required.
Where can I read the privacy details?
