Why Soundiiz sent the alert
Soundiiz stores a protected recognition cookie after a successful sign-in. The alert is sent when that cookie is missing or no longer matches the account.
That can happen on a genuinely new device, but also after clearing cookies, changing browser profiles, using private browsing, reinstalling a browser, or returning after the recognition cookie expired.
If you recognize the sign-in
No action is required. Compare the date and time with your activity, then check whether the IP or approximate location is consistent with your connection. A VPN or mobile network can make those details look unfamiliar.
If you do not recognize it
-
Change your Soundiiz password
Use a new password that you do not use on another website. If you sign in through Google, Spotify, Apple, or another provider, secure that provider account too. -
Enable two-factor authentication
Set up 2FA in Soundiiz and store the backup codes outside your password manager session. -
Contact Support with the alert details
Include the alert date and time. Never send your password or 2FA code.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why did I receive an alert on the same device?
The recognition cookie may have been cleared, blocked, or expired. A private window and a new browser profile also look like a new device.
Does the city in the email prove where the person was?
No. IP geolocation is approximate and can reflect a VPN, carrier gateway, or network provider rather than the user's physical location.
Can I disable security alerts?
Treat them as account-security messages. If a recognized browser keeps triggering alerts, check whether it deletes or blocks Soundiiz cookies.
