Soundiiz provides a public MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets a compatible AI assistant use Soundiiz tools after you connect it in that app. Asking an assistant about Soundiiz does not connect it automatically.
What you can do
Import from a public playlist URL
Use the full HTTPS link to a public playlist from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, SoundCloud, YouTube, YouTube Music, Qobuz, TIDAL or Soundiiz. You do not need to paste its tracks or share a music-service password or user token with your assistant.
The source playlist must contain 1 to 200 items before filtering. Larger playlists are refused rather than shortened; use the Soundiiz web app for those playlists. Private playlists, short links, album links and individual-track links are not supported. If you have a short sharing link, open it in your browser and copy the full playlist URL.
For a TIDAL source, tell your assistant which catalog country to use if you need something other than US. Apple Music uses the country in the playlist URL.
Connect your assistant
Your app must support adding a custom remote MCP server. Availability can depend on the app, its plan and your workspace permissions. Use these settings:
- Open your assistant’s connector or MCP settings.
- Add a custom remote server using the settings above. A Soundiiz API key is not required.
- Save the connection and enable Soundiiz for the conversation or agent you want to use.
For client-specific instructions and configuration examples, see Soundiiz MCP setup.
Try it in a conversation
For transfer guidance, ask: “With Soundiiz, check transfer options from Spotify to YouTube Music.”
For a public playlist, ask: “With Soundiiz, prepare an import link for this public playlist with YouTube Music as the destination: [paste the full playlist URL].”
For a playlist import, ask: “Prepare a Soundiiz import link for this tracklist, with Apple Music as the destination.” Then include your song titles and artist names.
If you want to choose the destination later, ask for an import link without specifying a music service.
Open and complete an import
- Open the Soundiiz link returned by your assistant.
- Review the tracklist, any warnings about excluded source items, and the requested destination, or choose a destination if you left it open.
- Follow the connection steps shown by Soundiiz, then confirm the transfer and review its result.
An MCP import link can contain 1 to 200 tracks and expires after 24 hours. Ask your assistant for a new link if it expires. Soundiiz plan limits and the destination music service’s requirements still apply.
If the connection or request does not work
Check that the server URL is correct and that Soundiiz is enabled in your app. If the tools are missing after a change, refresh the connection or try a new conversation. Check your app’s current instructions if it does not offer custom remote MCP connections.
Compatibility guidance describes supported Soundiiz features. It does not verify your account eligibility, plan limits, regional availability or temporary service incidents. For a connection problem, check Soundiiz and music platform status.
If your assistant cannot connect to MCP, you can still import a tracklist through Soundiiz. See how to import a URL, file or plain text.
