Where each transfer lands
Deezer keeps playlists, tracks, albums and artists in four separate tabs of your music. A transfer that looks lost is usually waiting in one you did not open.
Try these in order
-
Open the web player first
Go to your favorites on the web and check the four tabs above. If your music is there, the transfer worked and your app is showing an old copy. -
Check the profile, then the account
On the web player, look at which profile you are on. To connect a different one, our page on connecting another Family profile gives the order of the steps, which matters. -
Force the app to refresh
The app keeps a local copy of your music so it opens quickly, and that copy can lag behind. Sign out and back in, or clear the cache from the app settings. -
Look for numbered parts
A very large playlist is split on arrival, so it appears as several numbered playlists rather than the single one you sent. Nothing is missing, it is just spread out.
Frequently Asked Questions
My transfer went to the wrong Family profile. Can it be moved?
Not moved, but redone. Connect the right profile, then run the transfer again from the same source. What landed on the other profile stays there until you delete it in Deezer.
One playlist arrived as several numbered ones.
That is a large playlist being split to fit what Deezer accepts in one. Every track is there, spread over the parts, and they can be merged by hand in Deezer if you prefer a single list.
Everything shows on the web but my phone is empty.
Then the transfer is done and the app is holding an old copy. Sign out and back in, and check on the way that both are on the same profile.
Some tracks never arrived. Why those?
Deezer has a different catalog in each country, and we can only add what exists in yours. A recording missing from your country's catalog cannot be added at all.
