Four checks that work everywhere
-
Open the web player first
Sign in to your music service in a browser and look there. This single step splits the problem in two: if the music shows on the web, the transfer worked and your app is behind. If it does not, keep reading. -
Make sure both sides use the same account
Create a playlist named test on the web player, then reload Soundiiz. If it does not appear in your list, you are connected to two different accounts, and your transfer went to the other one. -
Force the app to refresh
Every app keeps a local copy of your library so it opens quickly, and that copy can lag behind. Create or rename a playlist by hand, sign out and back in, or clear the cache from the app settings. -
Give the cloud a few hours
Some services take up to 24 hours to push a change to your other devices. Seeing your music on the web and not yet on your phone is normal for a while.
Where liked songs go, service by service
Liked songs are what people lose track of most often, because every service files them somewhere else and none of them makes a playlist out of them. Here is the map for the seven we are asked about most.
Where your service puts things
This is the part people miss. No service keeps everything in one list: a playlist, your liked songs, your saved albums and the artists you follow each go somewhere different, and the names change from one service to the next. Liked songs almost never become a playlist.
Each page below gives the exact map for one service, and the settings that hide a transfer there.
| Spotify | Apple Music |
| TIDAL | Qobuz |
| Amazon Music | YouTube Music |
| Deezer |
Frequently Asked Questions
I transferred my liked songs and my library looks unchanged.
Liked songs go to their own place, which is rarely a playlist and rarely the list you were watching. Open the page for your service above, it says exactly which one.
Should I run the transfer again?
No, and it would cost you a second time. A transfer reported as done has already been accepted by the service, so a second run adds duplicates rather than the music you are missing.
The playlist is there but it is empty.
That is a different problem, and it means the tracks were not matched rather than not delivered. The page on failed conversions and missing tracks covers it.
A playlist is missing from my list in Soundiiz, before I even transfer.
Then the problem is on the way in, not on the way out. Some playlists cannot be read at all, the ones a service builds for you rather than the ones you made, which is what our page on playlists made by Spotify explains. Others are simply waiting on a setting in your account, and each service has its own page for that.
My service is not in the list above.
The four checks at the top apply to all of them. Those five have a page of their own because they are the ones we are asked about most, not because the others behave differently.
