What this method transfers
JRiver manages the audio files on your computer. Soundiiz does not upload those files; it reads the artist and track information in the playlist file, then searches for corresponding tracks in the destination catalog.
Export the playlist from JRiver
-
Open the playlist in JRiver
Choose the playlist you want to move. -
Choose File, then Export Playlist
JRiver opens the playlist export options. -
Select M3U Playlist (extended)
Use Filenames only for the exported content, then save the file on your device. -
Keep the file below 2 MB
If it is larger, split the playlist into smaller exports before importing it.
Import the file into Soundiiz
-
Open Playlists in the Soundiiz web app
Select Import playlist, then choose the file option. -
Upload the M3U file
Review the tracks Soundiiz recognized before continuing. -
Choose a destination and confirm
Soundiiz searches the destination catalog and creates the new playlist there.
For other accepted formats and import methods, see how to import a playlist from a file, URL, or text.
If some tracks are missing
Check that JRiver contains useful artist and title metadata. Remixes, local edits, live recordings, and releases absent from the destination catalog may not match automatically. You can review why matches can be missing or incorrect and how to fix them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Soundiiz upload my JRiver audio files?
No. Soundiiz uses the playlist metadata to find catalog versions of the tracks. The audio files stay on your device.
Can I transfer several JRiver playlists?
Yes. Export and import each playlist as its own file so its title and track order remain separate.
Why are remixes or local edits not found?
The exact version may not exist in the destination catalog, or its metadata may differ. Soundiiz cannot upload the local recording as a replacement.
