Soundiiz recreates the selected playlists or favorites in the destination service. It does not delete anything from the source service and does not copy or download audio files.
Before starting your transfer
You need:
- A Soundiiz account
- Access to the source music account
- Access to the destination music account
- An active subscription on services that require one for library access
- Enough space in the destination playlist or library
Make sure you connect the correct account for each service, especially if you have multiple Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or family profiles.
You can use Soundiiz from a web browser or through the official Soundiiz app for iOS and Android.
Method 1: Use the Transfer tool
The Transfer tool is the easiest way to move music between two services.
Step 1: Open the Transfer tool
Sign in to Soundiiz, then select Transfer under Tools in the navigation.
Step 2: Connect your music services
Connect the music service containing the playlists or favorites you want to move.
Then connect the destination service where Soundiiz should recreate them.
Soundiiz only displays operations supported by both the source and destination services.
Step 3: Select the source and destination
Choose:
- The source music service
- The destination music service
For example, Spotify can be the source and Apple Music the destination.
Step 4: Choose what you want to transfer
Depending on the compatibility of both services, Soundiiz may offer:
- Playlists
- Favorite or liked tracks
- Saved albums
- Followed artists
The available categories depend on what each music service allows Soundiiz to read and create.

Step 5: Select your music data
Select the playlist or music collection you want to transfer.
Free accounts can transfer eligible playlists one at a time, with up to 200 tracks per playlist. Batch transfers and favorite tracks, albums or artists require a paid plan.

Step 6: Review the transfer
Before confirming, you may be able to:
- Change the destination playlist name
- Select or remove individual tracks
- Review the source playlist
- Confirm the destination service
Check the source and destination carefully before starting the operation.
Step 7: Start and review the results
Soundiiz searches for an equivalent version of each selected item in the destination catalog.
When the process finishes, the result may be:
- Transfer successful: the playlist or selected items were created
- Partially transferred: some items could not be matched
- Transfer failed: Soundiiz could not create the destination item
Open the result details to review skipped or unmatched tracks.
Method 2: Transfer directly from Your Library
You can also start a transfer from an item already displayed in Soundiiz.
- Open Your Library.
- Select Playlists, Tracks, Albums or Artists.
- Find the item you want to move.
- Open its three-dot menu or contextual menu.
- Select Transfer.
- Choose the destination service.
- Review the available items and confirm.
This method is convenient when you have already connected your services and know exactly which playlist or collection you want to move.
Can Soundiiz transfer Liked Songs and favorites?
Yes, when the source and destination services provide compatible access.
Liked Songs may appear either as a generated playlist or under Tracks, depending on the music service and the intended destination format.

Does Soundiiz remove anything from the source?
No. A normal Soundiiz transfer copies compatible music data to the destination and leaves the source unchanged.
The original playlist, liked songs, albums and artists remain in the source account unless you delete them yourself.

Does Soundiiz transfer or download audio files?
No. Soundiiz transfers playlist and library information, not audio files.
It uses metadata such as the track title, artist, album, duration and, when available, the ISRC recording identifier to find the equivalent release in the destination catalog.
Soundiiz cannot download songs from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or another streaming service.

Why are some tracks not transferred?
Music catalogs differ between services and countries. A track may be:
- Unavailable in the destination service
- Restricted in your country
- Listed with different metadata
- Available only as another version, remaster or release
- Missing an identifier that allows a reliable match
Soundiiz displays unmatched tracks in the transfer results so you can review them.

Can I close Soundiiz during a transfer?
Once the transfer has started on Soundiiz’s servers, it can continue even if the page is closed or your connection is interrupted.
You can review completed and active operations under Recent transfers. Larger batch transfers may also generate an email notification when finished.
How long does a transfer take?
The duration depends on:
- The number of playlists and tracks
- The response time of both music services
- Destination API limits
- The number of items requiring matching
- Temporary restrictions or errors from a music platform
Small playlist transfers usually finish faster than large batch migrations.

Is a transfer the same as synchronization?
No.
A transfer is a one-time copy. Changes made to the source playlist afterward are not automatically copied to the destination.
A synchronization checks the source playlist again according to a schedule and updates the destination playlist using the selected synchronization method.
