Clean up a playlist, one track at a time

Pick the songs you no longer want and drop them from the playlist, without rebuilding it or transferring it again.

Quick answer

Soundiiz removes selected tracks from any playlist you own on a connected music service.

Open the playlist
Go to Your Library, select Playlists, then click the playlist you want to edit.
Select the track
Tick the checkbox on the left of its row. A toolbar appears above the tracklist.
Click the red trash icon
It sits at the right end of that toolbar.
Confirm
Soundiiz names the track and the playlist before anything changes. Select Remove.

This changes the playlist on your music service

The track leaves the playlist on the connected service too, not only the view in Soundiiz. It stays in your library, your Liked Songs, and your other playlists.

Faster: the three-dot menu

Each track row ends with a three-dot button. Open it, or right-click the row, then select Delete. Soundiiz asks for the same confirmation. This skips the checkbox when you only have one song to drop.

Remove several tracks at once

Tick as many checkboxes as you need before clicking the trash icon. The confirmation then counts them, for example "Are you sure you want to remove 3 tracks from playlist Summer 2026?". Use the search field above the tracklist to find the songs to select in a long playlist.

Why is the delete option missing?

Soundiiz hides it when it cannot edit the playlist:

You follow the playlist instead of owning it. Only its creator can edit it.

The music service generates the playlist for you, like Last.fm Loved Tracks or a weekly mix.

The music service does not let applications delete tracks from a playlist.

Apple Music playlists cannot be edited this way

Apple removed the delete methods from its API, so no application can drop a track from an Apple Music playlist. Trying it returns error 104. The same applies to any service that does not expose a delete operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Premium for this?

No. Removing tracks from a playlist is available on the free plan.

Can I undo it?

Soundiiz cannot restore a removed track. Duplicate the playlist first when you may want its previous tracklist back.

How do I clear a whole playlist?

Use the checkbox at the left of the toolbar to select every track, then the trash icon. To drop the playlist itself, open its three-dot menu in the Playlists view and select Delete.

What about repeated songs?
