Quick answer
Soundiiz can sort the songs in an editable playlist by Title, Artist, Album, Position or Duration, in ascending or descending order.
- Open Your Library and select Playlists.
- Open the playlist's three-dot or contextual menu.
- Select Organize → Sort tracks.
- Choose the sort criterion and direction.
- Review the preview and confirm.

Important: clone the playlist before sorting
Sorting requires Soundiiz to remove the current playlist contents and add the tracks again in the new order. We recommend cloning the playlist first so you have a backup if the music service interrupts the operation.
- Open the playlist's contextual menu.
- Under Organize, select Duplicate.
- Confirm the copy before sorting the original playlist.
Which sort options are available?
- Title: alphabetically by song title.
- Artist: alphabetically by artist.
- Album: alphabetically by album.
- Position: by the current track position; descending reverses the order.
- Duration: from shorter to longer or longer to shorter.
Why is Sort tracks missing or unavailable?
The option is displayed only when Soundiiz can safely edit the playlist order. It is unavailable when:
- You do not own or cannot edit the playlist.
- The playlist is automatically generated by the music service.
- The music service does not provide the operations needed to rewrite the playlist.
Soundiiz does not offer this sorting operation for Apple Music, YouTube or YouTube Music playlists.
Will sorting change the source music service?
Yes. This is a playlist-management operation, not a preview-only display setting. After confirmation, Soundiiz changes the track order in the connected music service.
If you only want to experiment with another order, duplicate the playlist and sort the copy.
