ROON EXPORT
Move playlists and selected library lists through a file
Export a Soundiiz-compatible CSV from Roon, then import the playlist, albums, artists, or tracks into the matching Soundiiz section.
Roon is a file source in Soundiiz
There is no Roon account connector in the Soundiiz service list. Export from Roon first; you cannot select Roon as a live destination or create a Soundiiz Sync with it.
Export from Roon
-
Open Roon on a computer
Roon currently makes its Export feature available on computers and laptops, not phones or tablets. -
Select the content you want
Open a playlist or select the albums, artists, or tracks you want to move. -
Open the selection menu and choose Export
Choose the export option intended for Soundiiz. Roon creates a compatible CSV file. -
Keep the file below 2 MB
Split a larger selection into several exports before uploading it to Soundiiz.
The maintained Roon instructions are on its Export help page.
Import the file in the matching Soundiiz section
After Soundiiz reads the file, review the recognized items, select the destination music service, and confirm the transfer.
What will and will not move
Playlist order and recognized catalog items can be recreated at the destination.
Album and artist lists can be imported through their matching sections. The same applies to tracks.
Local audio files and Roon-specific metadata are not uploaded. Tags and play counts stay behind. So do edits and folder structure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can I not find Roon in the Soundiiz service list?
Roon is handled as an exported file source, not as a connected account. Start in Roon, create the Soundiiz CSV, then import that file.
Can I keep Roon synchronized with another service through Soundiiz?
No. A file import is a one-time snapshot, and Soundiiz Syncs require connected playlist sources and destinations.
Does Soundiiz copy my local Roon audio files?
No. The CSV supplies metadata that Soundiiz uses to find corresponding items in the destination catalog.
The Roon file does not import?
Tell us which kind of content you exported, the file format and size, and the exact error shown by Soundiiz.
