TROUBLESHOOTING
Publish first, then allow the page to refresh
A draft Smartlink returns a 404. A newly published or edited page may need a few minutes to show the latest version.
If the page returns a 404
-
Open Smartlinks in Soundiiz
Open the Smartlink whose public URL returns the error. -
Check that it is published
Draft Smartlinks are not available on their public sdz.sh URL. Select Publish after reviewing the page. -
Wait up to about five minutes
Open the public link again after the published page has refreshed.
If an old title, image, or destination is still displayed
-
Confirm you edited the right Smartlink
Compare the shortcode in the editor with the shortcode in the public URL. -
Save and publish the update
An editor change does not replace the public page until the latest version is published. -
Refresh after a few minutes
Try a private browser window to rule out a locally cached page.
Recently made a source playlist public?
Reload Soundiiz, select the public playlist again if needed, then publish the Smartlink. A private playlist may not be available to select or open publicly.
To understand what the public page contains, read What is a music Smartlink?

How long should an update take?
Most updates appear within a few minutes. Allow up to about five minutes before troubleshooting further.
Does editing a Smartlink change its public URL?
No. Its public URL stays the same unless you change the custom domain or shortcode available with Creator.
Still seeing a 404 or an old page?
