Quick answer
Soundiiz is a legitimate music-transfer and playlist-management service operated by BRICKOFT SAS, a company registered in France. Soundiiz has been available since 2013 and its official mobile applications are published by BRICKOFT on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Soundiiz uses authorization methods provided by music services whenever they are available. It also offers two-factor authentication, new sign-in notifications, connected-platform controls, and account deletion tools.
Soundiiz does not sell personal data, connected music-library data, or user activity data. Both soundiiz.com and sdz.sh are official Soundiiz domains operated by BRICKOFT.
As with any service connected to several online accounts, you should use a unique password, enable two-factor authentication, and regularly review your connected platforms.
How does Soundiiz connect to my music accounts?
Whenever a music service provides OAuth authorization, Soundiiz redirects you to a page hosted by that music service.
You sign in and authorize access directly on the music service’s website. Soundiiz does not receive the password entered on that provider-hosted page. Instead, the music service returns an access token representing the permissions you approved.
When a music service does not provide an OAuth authorization interface, Soundiiz may use a different connection method. In that situation, the credentials are transmitted through an encrypted HTTPS connection and exchanged for an access token. The access token, rather than the music-service password, is retained for the connection.
You can review, reconnect, or disconnect a music account from Soundiiz whenever necessary.
What information can Soundiiz access?
The information depends on the music service and the permissions displayed during authorization. It can include:
- Your music-service username or account identifier
- Your playlists and playlist tracks
- Your liked or favorite tracks
- Your saved albums
- Your followed artists
- Information required to create or update supported items
Soundiiz uses this access to display your music collection and perform the transfers, synchronizations, or management operations you request.
A standard transfer copies matched content to the destination and does not delete it from the source. Separate management operations explicitly started by the user can modify or delete playlists or favorites, so review the selected action before confirming it.
Does Soundiiz store or transfer audio files?
No. Soundiiz does not download, store, or transfer audio files.
It works with music metadata such as track titles, artists, albums, durations, and identifiers. Soundiiz uses this information to find corresponding releases in the destination service’s catalog.
How can I protect my Soundiiz account?
Soundiiz supports time-based two-factor authentication using compatible authentication applications.
We strongly recommend that you:
- Use a strong password that you do not reuse elsewhere
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Store your 2FA backup codes in a safe place
- Never share your password or authentication codes
- Review connected platforms regularly
- Disconnect services you no longer use
- Access Soundiiz only through its official applications and website
Soundiiz can also send a notification when a new sign-in is detected. If you do not recognize the activity, change your password and secure your account immediately.
Does Soundiiz sell my personal or music data?
No. Soundiiz does not sell, rent, trade, or provide personal data or connected music-library data to advertisers, data brokers, or other companies for commercial profiling.
This includes information such as:
- Soundiiz account information
- Connected music-service identifiers
- Playlists and music-library metadata
- Listening or usage information
- Music-service authorization tokens
Soundiiz does not build advertising profiles from your music collection and does not monetize your user data by selling it.
Limited information may be processed by technical providers when necessary to operate Soundiiz—for example, Stripe, Apple, or Google when processing a payment. This operational processing is not the sale of user data.
The Soundiiz Privacy Policy explains how personal information is processed and protected. For information received through Google and Spotify APIs, it states that the data is used only to provide Soundiiz features and is not shared with an external service.
Is sdz.sh an official Soundiiz domain?
Yes. soundiiz.com and sdz.sh are both official domains operated by BRICKOFT.
Soundiiz uses sdz.sh for its Smartlink feature. A Soundiiz Smartlink groups links to a playlist, track, album, artist, podcast, or release across several music services on one shareable page.
A Soundiiz Smartlink may look like:
https://sdz.sh/examplehttps://soundiiz.sdz.sh/examplehttps://custom-name.sdz.sh/example
Custom sdz.sh subdomains can be created through Soundiiz’s Smartlink tools.
Opening a Smartlink does not by itself connect your streaming accounts to Soundiiz or grant new account permissions. It displays or redirects to the music-service destinations configured by the Smartlink creator.
You can learn more in the Soundiiz Smartlink guide.
Can I delete my Soundiiz data?
Yes. You can request the permanent deletion of your Soundiiz account and its associated data.
Follow the Soundiiz account deletion and GDPR guide for the complete procedure.
After deleting your account, you should also revoke Soundiiz access directly from the settings of each previously connected music service.
Is my payment information stored by Soundiiz?
For subscriptions purchased on the Soundiiz website, payments are processed by Stripe. Card information is transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and is stored on Stripe’s side rather than on Soundiiz servers.
Subscriptions purchased through the iOS application are billed and managed by Apple. Subscriptions purchased through the Android application are billed and managed by Google Play.
See the supported payment methods for more information.
What should I check before connecting an account?
- Confirm that the address uses the exact
soundiiz.comorsdz.shdomain. A legitimate Smartlink subdomain ends with.sdz.sh. - Read the permissions displayed by the music service.
- Make sure you are connecting the intended music-service account.
- Enable 2FA on your Soundiiz account.
- Disconnect access when you no longer need the integration.
