Some music platforms have limited the number of songs that can be added to a playlist.
Soundiiz always tries adding as many songs as possible to the playlist. Still, depending on the operation you are trying to do, it's possible that you got the following error code "106" and message:
"Reached maximum number of tracks allowed per playlist"
For some services and some operations, Soundiiz may create multiple playlist parts on the destination platform to handle an extensive source playlist. Only a few services are compatible with that feature.
On the Soundiiz side, it's possible you got some of your songs identified as "not found" or not matched because they have not been added due to that limit of songs per playlist.
What is the maximum number of tracks per playlist per service?
According to our research and discussions with music streaming services, here is a short list of what is the maximum playlist size per platform:
Music Service |
Maximum songs per playlist |
Spotify | 10,000 |
TIDAL | 10,000 |
Yandex Music | 10,000 |
YouTube | 5,000 |
YouTube Music | 5,000 |
Beatport | 5,000 |
Beatsource | 5,000 |
Pandora | 5,000 |
iHeartRadio | 5,000 |
KKBox | 5,000 |
Amazon Music | 2,500 |
Deezer | 2,000 |
Audiomack | 2,000 |
Qobuz | 1,999 |
YouSee Musik | 1000 |
Telmore Musik | 1000 |
SoundCloud | 500 |
LiveOne | 500 |
Dailymotion | 250 |
That doesn't mean other music platforms don't have such a limit or any limit. It's just undocumented or not set. However, with over 10,000 items, most music platforms have difficulty properly handling such a list.
That's why Soundiiz is limiting up to 10,000 songs, the number of tracks added per playlist anyway.
