Disconnect Plex in Soundiiz
Reconnect so the optional connection settings appear before Plex authorization. -
Expand the connection settings
Find the optional USERNAME field. -
Enter the profile identifier exactly
Use the Plex Home username, profile title, or email. The comparison is case-sensitive. -
Continue with Plex authorization
Sign in with the full Plex account that has access to that Home and its server.
PIN-protected profiles
Soundiiz does not ask for a Plex Home PIN during the profile switch. If the selected Home user requires a PIN, the connection cannot complete for that profile through this flow.

If the wrong music library appears
The selected Home user must have access to the server and music library in Plex. If that user can access several libraries, add the desired numeric SECTIONID during the same reconnection. See How to Select a Plex Server or Library in Soundiiz.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Plex Managed User sign in directly?
No. Authorize with a full Plex Home account, then let Soundiiz switch to the Managed User named in USERNAME.
Why does Soundiiz connect the admin profile?
USERNAME was left empty, did not match the profile exactly, or the requested profile could not be switched. Reconnect and verify the case-sensitive value.
Why does Plex connect and then disappear?
That usually points to server reachability rather than profile selection. Use the Plex connection troubleshooting guide and confirm the server is reachable from outside your local network.
