Reconnect with the optional settings
-
Disconnect Plex in Soundiiz
Start a new connection so the server and library selectors are applied to the stored Plex connection. -
Expand the connection settings
The optional fields appear before you continue to Plex authorization. -
Choose one server selector
Enter the exact case-sensitive SERVERNAME, or enter a reachable address as IP:PORT. -
Filter the libraries if needed
Enter one numeric SECTIONID, or several IDs separated by commas. Leave it empty to search all accessible sections. -
Authorize with Plex
After connection, verify that Soundiiz displays the expected server and music library.
How to find a Plex library section ID
Open Plex Web, select the music library in the left sidebar, then look at the browser URL. The number shown after source= is the library section ID. For example, source=2 means SECTIONID 2.
Plex also documents each library as /library/sections/{id} in its Plex Media Server API overview. Do not send your Plex token to Soundiiz Support or include it in screenshots.
Which fields should stay empty?
If your Plex account has one reachable server, leave IP:PORT and SERVERNAME empty. If every accessible music library should be searched, leave SECTIONID empty. For a Plex Home profile, use the separate Plex Home USERNAME guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I enter more than one SECTIONID?
Yes. Separate numeric IDs with commas, for example 2,5. Soundiiz then filters tracks and albums, plus artists, to those sections.
Why did Soundiiz connect the wrong Plex server?
The optional server name or address may not have matched an accessible server. Reconnect, verify the exact case-sensitive name, then check remote access with the Plex troubleshooting guide.
Should IP:PORT be a local address?
Soundiiz servers must be able to reach the address. A private LAN-only address normally cannot be reached from outside your home network.
